Founded in 2003 by Brazilian artist and early childhood educator Alécia de Menezes Seidler and Robert Seidler, Love & Art Children’s Foundation was born out of the desire to reach out to children in need and to offer them, through the arts, a way of expression, empowerment and hope.
Each year Love & Art brings its unique art workshop program, developed by Alécia, to a group of children. Our approach is to work with each child, one on one, over the course of several months to create large scale, individual mixed media artworks. Time, attention and care help the children open up and use their vivid imaginations in a new way. The resulting art collections are a vibrant testament to the spirit of creativity and youth.

To share the beauty and power of the children's art, Love & Art organizes exhibitions around their creations and their stories. Through the exhibitions these young artists receive recognition for their accomplishments.
Following each exhibition, Love & Art oversees a sponsored art auction event to bring awareness to the children’s causes and to fundraise for them. The auctions enable the children artists to give back to their own communities, as 100% of all art auction proceeds raised goes directly back to benefit the children, programs and community to which they belong.
Love & Art Children's Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

"It is art that makes life, makes interest, makes importance...
and I know of no substitute whatever for
the force and beauty of its process."

Some of Love & Art’s past highlights include successful art workshops with children afflicted with cancer in Paris and with foster youth in Los Angeles. These art collections titled: L'Enfant et l'Art and Enchanted... exhibited, respectively, at Les Arts Décoratif, in the Louvre Palace and Christie's Beverly Hills. Love & Art raised $600,000 from the art auctions that directly benefited the organizations providing services for those children.
This year, Love & Art Children’s Foundation is building Casa da Criança Amor e Arte, a children's art and educational center in the most impoverished neighborhood in Jataí, Goiás, Brasil.

“Art lives upon discussion, upon experiment, upon curiosity,
upon variety of attempt, upon exchange of views
and the comparison of standpoints.”

but a lifetime to paint like a child."
